"Full release"
A "final" product of the jam game.
I decided to finish the game after the jam since I was frustrated not getting the map expanding working properly during the jam. Since pico8 has a limited number of space for map in the map editor I used it as 16x16 chunks. The chunks start from the left corner and continue to the right. During the jam my cordinate system conversions were kinda bad and broken so I did not get the game work with 2nd row of the chunks. This lead to only 8 chunks working out of possible 32 which lead to me making only the first 8 chunks as levels. Now all the 32 chunks are working and the games is 4x longer.
During my further development i continued my "offline" jam and did not look up any guides how to do things, rather just thinking and testing by myself. The finished version is a extended version of the jams results containing still many bugs.
Changelog:
- Game is now 4x
- More areas and level mechanics
- Added little longer music.
- There is now end screen. (Uses the initial music i created during the jam but scrapped)
- Checkpoints wont activate if you falldie on them,
- Velocity is now properly reseted after death
